RELAXING INTO THE PHYSICAL

A fortnightly exploration

Over the next fortnight, we're exploring Relaxing into the Physical: allowing ourselves to come out of the constant activity of the mind and more fully into the experience of being in our bodies. This is an invitation to soften rather than strive, to notice sensation without needing to change it, and to discover the steadiness and spaciousness that can emerge when we allow the body to simply be.

Relaxing into the Physical Attunement

A gentle guided attunement for softening into the body and reconnecting with the steadiness of your physical presence.

Relaxing into the Physical invites you to release tension, come out of mental overactivity and listen more closely to what your body is communicating. Through breath, awareness and quiet presence, this practice supports greater ease, grounding and trust in the wisdom of your body.

Reflections On: Relaxing into the Physical

Where am I leaving my body to try and get it right?

I could run this theme all year because it sits underneath everything else.

Coming back into the body means we stop trying to live life purely from the mind.

The mind exhausts itself. It overthinks, pushes, tries to fix. Often from fear. From a sense that something isn’t enough as it is.

But when I come back into my body; when I listen to my own rhythm, my own knowing, something changes.

Life feels more spacious.

Problems lose their weight.

Perspective softens.

There’s a quiet sense of being held in my own experience.

It comes from a deeper place of self-trust. Of self-respect.

And it takes courage, to admit we’re human, doing the best we can with what we have.

The reactions begin to fall away.

The need to prove. The need to be right. The urgency.

I can see now how many times I’ve made decisions that felt true in my body, even when they didn’t make sense.

And how quickly the conditioning would follow.

The doubt. The feeling of being exposed. Alone. As if everyone else must be right and I must be wrong.

These are the moments to pause.

To come back. To listen again.

And in that return, something softens. Relief. A quiet kind of love.

And the guilt and shame don’t need to be fought.

They fall away just enough: for clarity to return.
